.,.tenth meeting.,.

1. Cite one experience wherein you have experienced negative peer pressure.
When I was a freshman in high school, I have a friend who becomes a bad influence on me. She was so war freak that everyone seems to fight with her. We have a role play that time and we were group mates. A quarrel arises in our group because of the props.
2. How did you react to it? Why?
I was carried away with her. I also got mad with our group mates without even knowing or hearing their sides and reasons for not doing the props.
3. How did you feel about your reaction/decision?
I feel so regretful that I almost lose my true friends because of her.
4. What have you learned/realized from your experience?
I have realized that I should choose a friend who will not influence me badly. And I should not listen to those bad peer pressures that my friend might tell to me. I should know what is wrong from right.

Challenge yourself

a. What challenge did you take?
· The challenge that I took was returning excess change in a store when I bought something and the vendor thought that the amount that I gave to her was larger than the amount I actually gave her.

b. Were you able to do the challenge? How do you feel about it?
· Yes, I was able to bit the challenge. I feel so overwhelmed when the vendor thanked me for telling the truth and returning the excess change. And of course, I’m happy for myself because I was able to beat the challenge and I was not influenced by my conscience to not to return the excess change although I was short in money at that time.

c. What have you realized/learned from your experience?
· I have realized and learned that money is not the only thing that could make a person happy. There are also other ways to make you happy. And it is not true that money makes a person’s world go round.

.,.seventh meeting.,.

Self –evaluation

Everyone should always evaluate their self for us to be aware of our strengths and weaknesses. In this way, you will be able to develop and improve them. During our class in values, we had undergone self-evaluation. As a result, I just realized that I have to pay more attention regarding my health. Maybe, because of hectic schedules, works, and studies, it made me stressed that my health is the one being affected. Sometimes, I skip my meals just to finish the requirements for school. I don’t have time to exercise that makes me feels weak faster. And so I decided to balance my time for studies and for my health. I planned to be more conscious about my health before anything might happen to me… =j

.,.fifth meeting.,.

“The Most Challenging Thing I have ever Accomplished”

We all know that every people have their own accomplishments in life that they are proud of. I, like others, have accomplished something that I thought I can’t, which is really difficult if you will not persevere. The story goes like this… our teacher in journalism gave us an advance project for us to do. This project will be for the fourth grading. Our grade for the fourth grading will come from it because we have no more thing to do for we have already finished our annual school paper. She gave us this project as a group so that we could finish it. Months have passed and we still have started yet. Until it was only a week before that we realized that we have wasted months for it. So, we rushed to do it. We spend nights just to accomplish several articles. We even didn’t come to school for a day just to pass it. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it. As a punishment, our teacher made it as an individual project. All of us must pass a newspaper, all the articles must be written by ourselves, and must be submitted within a week. I almost loose my hope while I am thinking how will I start that. Many questions come into my mind if I can accomplish it within a week. And I also said that, if we didn’t make it as a group, what more if it is individual?? When I got home, I immediately think of it. First, I think of topics to be developed and start doing it. Fortunately, my sister helped me to encode them in the computer. It was already the deadline tomorrow and I still have to make some articles. While I was doing it, I was crying. I cried because I’m afraid that I can’t make it. And if I will didn’t make it, I will get a failing grade. I spend the night doing it until I accomplished it. I was so happy to make it. It’s as if, a torn was picked from my heart…

.,.fourth meeting.,.

1. Looking back at the list of your positive characteristics and qualities, what do you feel and realize about it?
· I just realized that, for me, before anything else, i should have trust on myself to overcome such problems and to be able to succeed in my goals in life. And when you have this, everything follows. =j
2. The Golden Rule says, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."a. Given the following situations, how would you like to be treated by your teachers and schoolmates:- when you have given wrong answers to the questions during recitation;
· I want them not to laugh at me instead, give me more strength to right my wrong.
- when you are expressing your opinion during class or group discussion;
· I want them to listen at my own view and be open to accept it. And when they are against my opinion, I'll give them the chance to speak for their opinion and I will accept it with open mind.
- when you are giving suggestions during group work or presentation;
· I want them to listen and accept my suggestions and if ever they don't like it, hopefully they will say it to me in a kindest way.
- when you commit mistake;
· I want them not to change their attitude on me like they will still treat me the way they treated me before.
- when you don't like doing what they ask you to do;
· I want them to respect my decision.
- when they want to give you comments or suggestions?
· I want them to give it to me in a way that it won't hurt my feelings.
b. Considering the given ideas on how to treat others with respect what can you commit to yourself in terms of dealing with the MCL community: teachers, students, employees, security, maintenance/janitors and canteen personnel?
As the golden rule said, “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you”, I will not do what I don’t want them to be done on me. So, I will give my whole respect with MCL community through following the rules and regulations of the school at all times.

.,.third meeting.,.

Maybe, some would say, "ay, ang KJ naman". but, honestly speakin', I wasn't able to attend the Freshmen's Night for a special reason. Some would say that it was succesfully and terrifictly done! Others would say, it was boring! Anyway...One of my significant classroom experiences gives me the feeling of being ashamed. It was supposedly the third day of my days in MCL but becomes the second day because of the holiday the previous day. It was on June 20, that I entered the wrong classroom. I really forgot about my classroom schedule that day. I entered the room seated at the back. I am wondering why my classmates are not yet there because it was already 7 o’clock. I also noticed that my classmates are different. I only knew it when the professor for that class entered the room. I immediately run out of the room and go to my assigned room. I really feel so ashamed with that. From then on, I have always checked my CM to know where is my designated room for the day. And I have learned that I should always have the presence of mind wherever I go. =>
